Life is so complicated.... or rather relationships are so complex. It’s just not enough if it’s as plain and as simple as “I like you and you like me so lets enjoy each other's company.” A lot many more things have to come into play to make things difficult. Like what you ask? Like ego, fears, insecurities, weird complexes-enough to ensure the death of something as gentle and simple as friendship.
Coming to friendship, what exactly is it? Is it casual acquaintance? Or a feeling of mutual liking arising from common interests? And what would you really expect from a friend? I’ve received some interesting insights from a lot of people about this. Some say loyalty is an absolute must-and even then each one's definition of loyalty varies to wild degrees. Some think its more than enough if your friend has the courtesy to recognize you in the rare event of bumping into each other. So gauging by the fact that the definition of friendships differs for everybody, everyone must be dissatisfied to some extent with their friends? And when do you decide that enough is enough and the "friendship" is pointless? Or does it just sink away into oblivion without a trace when it ceases to please you?
What then is real love? celebrating Valentines Day? Giving gifts at the drop of a hat? Mushy phone calls and pet names that nauseate others? Or does it involve finding your soul mate and waiting for the real thing? And how do you judge compatibility? Common interests, similar personalities, identical characteristics or similar backgrounds? Once you decide you have fallen in love, what are the things that stop you from going ahead and expressing yourself? Fear of rejection? Fear that he/she is not "The One”? Fear of being committed? Or just fear for its own sake?
None of these answers are likely to come easily if ever. In such circumstances, how does one keep their faith going in relationships... why bother?

"how does one keep their faith going in relationships." Well if you ask me.. I would say, have endless filter kaapi sessions with that special person in a nice coffee shop or balcony of a house works well too and just look at life in a completely different perspective!!!
Don't think too much about things like this..Thinking is Injurious to health:)
once again i feel as if u have reproduced my thoughts on your blog...u posted this before also na? but u have modified it.
teh same thing is happening to me nowadays, i come up witha million ideas to write about at night, in teh morning(actually its more like in the afternoon) when i wake up from my slumber, i have lost all interest and also amny of the ideas i had.
its so frustrating, :(
i so want to agree with arvindiyer. but then "emotions are what seperate us humans from machines," right? My only trying-and-testing way is - keep getting into (and less-frequently out of)relationships. thats an integral part of life here...
To arvindiyer:
Arvind can anything in the world make you wear out you kaapi obsession???
Thinking is my food, drink and lifeline... Never let the brain idle. " An idle mind is the devil's workshop." And the devil's name is Alzheimer's. So think, think and think more...
To Captain Max Gonzalez:
Vaibhav, foremost thanks for being such a critical and an avid visitor of my blog (even when you're drowning in sleep and post comments like this one). Your comments pep my blog and my spirits up... Thanks pal!! Reply to this comment shall be posted when you comment in a more awake state
To Thripura:
Sis!! you inspired this post... remember our looooooooong calls(much to the delight of my cell-phone service provider) over these issues when you were in Thiruvanmiyur?? and your advice shall be taken seriously. The best way to learn, I guess, is to make mistakes over and over and over and over again...
